Happy Imbolc! We're a little into the New year and the days are getting longer. I'm in Ireland at the moment where this is, since last year, a new Bank Holiday. It's also called St. Brigid's Day, and you can imagine that this day has a special place in my heart.
To celebrate, I visited one of my favorites here; Birgit's Garden. The garden is still asleep, but the first signs of spring are there. It was refreshing and lovely to walk among the trees.
UPDATES on "THE MADIGAN CHRONICLES."
I'm excited to let you know that Isabel Ghostkeeper has joined the Madigan Chronicles team! She's jumping in as an assistant-illustrator. And I'm thrilled to give you a sneak peek of one of the new cards that will be in "The Queen of Fairy" The Madigan Chronicles #5.
Nicole and Isabel did an amazing job on the "Ten of Cups," isn't it beautiful!
The manuscript is at the editor and I can't wait to have it returned.
In the meantime I'm working on the first draft of book #6 "the Pentacle." It's the strangest thing to work on the final book in the series. I have dualistic feelings about it, as the Madigans have lived in my head for a long time and it will be nice to make room for new ideas, but I know I will miss them!
Anyway, I still have a long way to go!
On another note, the Madigan Chronicles had some wonderful wins!
"The Cup," was a winner in the Urban Fantasy of the Maincrest Media Awards.
"The Dagger," ranked #12 in the TOP 25 FICTION BOOKS of 2023 in the Outstanding Creator Awards.
And I ranked #6 in the TOP 10 AUTHORS of 2023, in the Outstanding Creators Awards.
Here are a couple of my favorite pictures of Ireland since I'm back. The winter light is just stunning!
Hope you have a lovely Imbolc.
